In good company (first draft)

We exchanged stories
Yours for mine-
Barter and braata;
Opposite ends of our worlds
Colliding
Revealing vulnerabilities
In a trust
Funded by shared passions
We toured each other’s pasts
Paths all our own
Sipping on laughter
To slake the thirst
Caused by salty tears
Taking out to sun
The stench of moldy fears
We connected
Like that measured tone of dialup
Got to that space
Of unguarded, unarmed truce
In truth
Broke bread
Shared pure energy
All over
Too soon.
